Our Story
Moving to Colombia more than seven years ago gave me the opportunity to experience the country beyond what most visitors see. Through local communities, friendships, and everyday life, I developed a deep appreciation for Colombia's culture and people. One thing stood out wherever I went, coffee.
In every town and neighborhood, cafés were places where people gathered, connected, and shared stories. Coffee wasn't just a drink, it was part of daily life. Curious to learn more, I began visiting coffee farms and meeting the people behind the harvest. What I discovered was a level of quality, craftsmanship, and passion that many coffee lovers outside Colombia rarely experience.
As I explored more farms and tasted more coffees, one question kept coming to mind: Why shouldn't Canadians have access to these exceptional coffees too?
Monte Origen was created to bring carefully selected Colombian specialty coffees to Canada while creating a direct connection to the farmers, regions, and stories behind every cup.
